The first major project by the People Powered Press after its move to Shipley involved working with groups of all ages and backgrounds from different communities across the district.
Each group explored a theme through writing workshops, creating new poetry. These works inspired a single phrase, the letters of which the participants were invited to help print by hand on the People Powered Press.
The resulting murals – twelve metres wide by a metre and a half tall – were pasted up using traditional methods in public spaces in Bradford’s City Park and Keighley town centre in summer 2022.
